Rapido Trimarans’ co founder, Paul Koch, believes that the ‘C’ foils on the all-new Rapido 40 will give it “a massive performance boost both upwind and downwind without adding a lot of complexity”.

Koch made the comments following further discussions with the world-acclaimed designers of the trimaran, Morrelli & Melvin.

Ineffable “outplays professionals” at beginning of RORC 600 Caribbean

The RORC Caribbean 600 was held last week and the Rapido 60, Ineffable (owned by Stephen Bourne), “had the best start (and) didn’t break a sweat”, according to one commentator (see 41.30mins in video above).

The second commentator added that Ineffable had “outplayed the professionals”.

Congratulations to Stephen and crew.

“The boat is ‘King Amazing!”

When Paul Koch travelled to New Zealand with several customers for a demo sail on Jaz and Dougall’s Rapido, Romanza, they were impressed.

They commented that “This boat:

  • Is so easy to sail
  • Is so much more spacious than I realised
  • Reignited my sailing fires
  • Exceeded my expectations
  • Is ‘King Amazing
