General Information

R63 Explorer — Rapido’s First Ever Commercial Trimaran

The R63 Explorer marks a major milestone:

Rapido’s first dedicated commercial trimaran, purpose-built for premium day charter operators who want to offer guests a genuine sailing experience on an instantly recognisable vessel.

This is not a simplified version of the (amazing) private Rapido 63. It is a different product, designed from the outset for commercial use, high guest turnover, and maximum sailing performance.

Lightweight. Simple. Fast. Made for Day Operators.

Charter operators don’t need cabins, heavy fitouts or cruising extras. So we removed them.

The R63 Explorer keeps the platform simple, clean, and light — which means:

  1. More speed
  2. More responsiveness
  3. Lower weight
  4. Lower maintenance
  5. More guests enjoying real sailing, not motoring

It’s everything a day-charter operator needs… and nothing they don’t.

A Sailing Vessel That Markets Your Business for You

In the age of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, appearance matters.

The R63 Explorer delivers a bold, unmistakable profile that turns heads in every marina and shows up beautifully in customer content.

It is the most visually striking commercial sailing platform available today.

Spacious, Open Deck Layout

With the Rapido 63’s greatly expanded platform, the charter version offers:

  1. A huge open saloon area (1.5m wider than the Rapido 60)
  2. Seating on top of the coachroof
  3. Large central social space for guests
  4. Wide, stable floats for safe movement with additional trampoline space
  5. A layout optimised for guest flow and operations
  6. Lightweight and performance-oriented

Designed for Reliability and Efficiency

  1. Built in advanced composite materials
  2. Light but robust — ideal for high-use charter operations
  3. Fast sailing reduces fuel burn
  4. Simpler systems = lower downtime and easier crew training

A New Category for Charter Sailing

The Rapido 63 Charter is not trying to compete with the private Rapido 63.

It is designed to give charter operators something no other brand offers:

A true performance sailing trimaran, purpose-built for commercial day charter use.

FAST AND POWERFUL

Trimarans are safe, powerful and fast as demonstrated by the fact that they consistently win races and hold the solo speed record for circumnavigating the world.

safe

Safety at sea is the No. 1 priority and this thinking is reflected throughout the design and construction of the Rapido.

spacious

The Rapido 60 has some truly amazing living spaces which provide more open, private and intimate areas than monohulls or catamarans.

stable and comfortable

Trimarans are comfortable on all points of sail.

fun

The combination of safety, performance and comfort put the Rapido in a league of its own. The enormous trampoline nets add fun and excitement as you watch the blue water rush underneath you – or as you lounge on the nets while gently floating over a reef. You will be instantly hooked..
