Picomole (Rapido 53XS) Claims Line Honours in the ARC Rally
In the Atlantic, Picomole, our Rapido 53XS with its signature “Xtra Space”, delivered an extraordinary performance by securing Line Honours in the Multihull Division of the ARC Atlantic Rally for Cruisers 2025. The ARC sails across the Atlantic from the Spain’s Canary Islands to St Lucia in the Caribbean.
This year’s ARC featured strong competition and challenging conditions, making Picomole’s victory even more impressive.
Key highlights:
- Line Honours – Multihull Division (32 teams) and 2nd Overall (out of 144 teams. Line Honours in teh Open Category was taken by a 75′ monohull, 21′ longer than Picomole.)
- She commenced on 23 November 2025 at 12:30 UTC and finished on 4 December 2025 at 7:14 UTC.
- The 2,881 NM sailed by Picomole brought up a significan’t mileston: 30,000 NM sailed since being launched in April of last year.

Introducing the Rapido 40 Racer — A New Level of Pure Performance
While Picomole was making waves in the Atlantic, a very different excitement was unfolding at Rapido HQ.
On the same day, we rolled out the brand-new Rapido 40 Racer, a purpose-built, uncompromising performance trimaran designed for sailors who want nothing but speed.
Key design distinctions:
- A weight of just 4.5 tonnes – a full tonne lighter than the Rapido 40 performance-cruiser sistership
- A 19.5m performance mast which is a full 2.3 m taller (it’s also a spreaderless prepreg carbon rig built in house by our builder, Triac Composites)
The Rapido 40 Racer represents a true thoroughbred: light, powerful, precise, and designed to compete at the highest levels.
