Rapido Trimarans is delighted to congratulate Sam Talbot and his crew aboard Rapido 40 #012, Spike (cruising version of the Rapido 40 but with the performance mast), on an outstanding performance at the 2026 Caribbean Multihull Challenge which was held from 29 January – 1 February in St. Maarten.

Competing in the highly competitive CSA 2 division, Spike demonstrated exceptional consistency and pace throughout the regatta. After opening with strong results, she rebounded from a pair of seconds in the early races to secure two consecutive race wins, ultimately scoring a winning series that left her at the top of the leaderboard with her victory assured before the final race.

Spike sat out the final contest; a testament to her dominant corrected-time performance in the fleet.

This result highlights what the Rapido 40 platform is capable of when sailed confidently in competitive conditions: a balanced blend of speed, control and tactical adaptability across a range of conditions and multihull designs.
