Multihulls World‘s News from the Shipyards section (Issue No. 176) reports on the launching of the three-hulled Rapido 50 #01.
It says,
On December 13th, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the first Rapido 50 was launched for its very first seatrials before delivery to Europe. The folding system was validated in the water – 18’ (5.50 m) folded compared to 34’ (10.38 m) when under way.
Will the Rapido 50 have time to check its promising polars going down the Saigon River, the Soài Rap River to finally find open water in the South China Sea? It’s just that few production multihulls promise averages of 25 knots. We’ll do our best to share a test sail of this rocket ship with you… as quickly as possible!
