The Rapido 50 – True Blue-Water Performance, Perfectly Proportioned

The Rapido 50 sets a new benchmark in performance cruising trimarans. Sharing the same DNA and build quality as the flagship Rapido 60, the R50 offers true blue-water capability in a more accessible, easily handled size — ideal for couples or short-handed sailors.

Built using infused carbon foam sandwich construction, with key structures such as beams, daggerboards, rudder case, and blade made from prepreg carbon cured in an autoclave, the R50 is both light and exceptionally strong. Its optimized weight distribution, placing heavier components like the engine amidships, enhances stability and seakeeping offshore.

Designed for effortless control, the R50 features a self-tacking jib, roller-furled headsails, and a spreaderless mast, making it easier and safer to handle without sacrificing speed. With CE Category A certification, it’s engineered for confident ocean passages.

Inside, the interior reflects the same attention to detail found on the Rapido 60, while folding floats reduce marina, hard-stand, and shipping costs.

The result: a lighter, faster, and more manageable trimaran that delivers big-boat comfort and performance in a sleek, efficient form — ready to redefine what’s possible in a 50-foot blue-water cruiser.

Video above: Multihulls World magazine has announced that the Rapido 50 has won the Multihull of the Year Award for 2022 in the 45′-55′ category. The award was announced at the Multihull Show at La Grande Motte on 20 April 2022.

Folding floats:

  • Access to single marina berths
  • Access to all marinas
  • Reduced marina, hard stand and shipping costs

Trimarans are comfortable on all points of sail.

fun
